This first demo recorded in 2001 was as real and raw as all of its members who were just starting in highschool at the time. Only limited copies were printed and quickly spread throughout all of the various metal circles in LA and beyond. This demo not only introduced the world to Desecrate, but also helped to swapn the thrash revival movement along with many other great bands that these young metalheads would soon call friends.
While still in high school the band scraped together as much money as they could and recorded its first album in 2005. This 7 song album showed the world these teenagers' ability to write, shred, and kick some ass. It not only embodied the bands love to fast paced, heavy hitting, technical metal, but the bands hatred and anger as the cover shows an image of their highschool "John Burroughs" being nuked. Drafted up by the band's own Håkon Engvig while at school and implemented by ink master Jamie Lee Parker.
Being fresh outta high school, with prospects of world domination, the band won a battle of the bands to record a demo in 2008 that they would shop to various record labels. This 5 song LP is a technical masterpiece of metal madness and though multiple record deals were offered, after carefully reading through all of them the band quickly realized the old model of "getting signed" was dead. This album proved to be just the start of the band's independent journey to unleash its musical prowess on the world.
Being 4 years since the last release the band had piles of new material to record, so much so it was hard to fit all of it on one disc. This sledge hammer of an album, recorded in 2012, features 12 tracks and a bonus "making of" DVD. The name was the very embodiment of what the band had been going through. Touring, writing, promoting, all DIY in a music industry that was redefining itself, is enough to push anyone to the edge of sanity and that madness comes screaming through on every track.
The last release from the band in 2015 proves to be their greatest achievement to date. Their perfected sound gives the band a more updated and modern style, while still paying homage to classic metal pioneers. This record is dripping with pure aggression and intensity. An in-your-face and heart pounding experience from start to finish. While still being mainstream accessible for all metal audiences. From catchy vocal hooks to face melting solos, this album promises to be an instant metal masterpiece.
